I’m so delighted to present the inaugural Open Channel Interview, a new series I’m launching for paid subscribers, weekly in the newsletter. Our first interview subject is my friend, author Stephen S. Mills. Stephen and I were at the Florida State University MFA program at the same time, and we are both originally from the Midwest. We remained friends after grad school, and went on to be press siblings at Sibling Rivalry Press. I’ve always admired Stephen’s writing, and his prolific writing life. He’s been an excellent reader of my work as well, and a great supporter of other writers, particularly in the LGBTQ+ community.
